East Caribbean Feeds Limited

East Caribbean Feeds Limited was established in 1981. The mill was originally seen as a means of utilizing the by-products from the flour production.  Additionally, the need to make the OECS sub-region self-sufficient in providing its protein requirements was recognized.

The introduction of the Feed Mill resulted in a significant positive impact on the poultry farming industry in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  The ready availability of a wide variety of top quality animal feeds, encouraged many of the farmers to expand their respective operations. This in turn resulted in the local community having access to high quality fresh poultry and other animal products.

While the main output of the Feed Mill is poultry feed; pig, dairy, rabbit and horse feeds are also produced.  ECF has the capacity to manufacture 30 metric tonnes of feed during a regular eight hour shift, and approximately 55% of production is exported to the Eastern Caribbean.

As obtains with the other companies of the group, consistency in product quality and performance, characterizes our corporate commitment to customers.  Technical assistance is also one of our strengths, as we go beyond the manufacture and selling of the products.  We organize, sponsor and participate in seminars, which instruct on good animal feeding and rearing practices and disease control.  Additionally, our customer care program, augmented by periodic visits, helps to build brand loyalty while realizing business growth for the customers and the company.
