14th May 2012 - ECGC National Baking Competition 2012 The overall winner of the 2012 ECGC National Baking Competition held on to Ms. Janine John of Camo’s Local Cuisine, with her entry Rum Punch Mango Cheesecake. The just concluded competition on Friday May 11th at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall saw four persons emerging winners in the various categories breads, cakes, pastries and specialty flour. Best in the Bread category, went to Jaima King of Basil’s Bar with the entry Pumpkin Coconut Coffee Muffin. Best in Pastry went to Ricardo Gordon of Rem’s Bakery with his entry Damsel Pie. Best in Specialty Flour went to Vanessa Francis-Lewis of Macaroni Beach House in Mustique with her entry Pumpernickle Carmalized Onion Zucchini Bread. Best in the Cake category went to Janine John with her entry Rum Punch Mango Cheesecake. Each participant had to prepare two items. The Baking Competition is slated to be an annual event in ECGC’s calendar as the company continues to contribute to the Culinary Arts in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr. Ali Medjahed of the Sweetie Pie Bakery in Mustique was the Facilitator and the event took place in Mustique.

involved in the Culinary Arts emerged winners at the ECGC National
Baking Competition on May 31st 2011. The ECGC National
Baking Competition is slated to be an annual event in ECGC’s agenda for
St. Vincent & the Grenadine, as the company seeks to raise the profile
of the baking industry. 2nd place Janelle John of Camo’s Local Cuisine with the entries – Cho-Conut Passion Delight and Sweet Plantain Chocolate Bread 3rd place Deloris John of Double Dee Catering with the entries – Semolina Cheesecake with Marmalado Topping and Chocolate Mint Cake

19th April 2011 - Performance Appraisal Training Workshop The East Caribbean Group of Companies conducted a two day Performance Appraisal Training Workshop on April 19th to 20th, 2011. The Facilitator was Ms. Mineva Glasgow, Deputy Director of the N.I.S.
18th April 2011 - ECGC attends Nevis' Department of Agriculture Annual Open Day The Department of Agriculture of the Nevis Island Administration, held its annual Open Day on March 24th and 25th 2011, under the theme “ Diversity to Satisfy”. The East Caribbean Feeds donated Pig Grower, Layer Ration and Rabbit Ration to be distributed to various livestock farmers for their sterling contribution to the field of Agriculture over the years. Attending on behalf of ECGC were Mr. Martin LaBorde (right)- Marketing Manager and Mr.Brionne Campbell (left), Senior Miller , Feeds.
14th April 2011 - ECGC Sponsors Historical Grenadines Secondary Track & Field Meet Arch rivals Bishop’s College and the Hillsborough Secondary School of Union Island and Carriacou competed in Union Island on Friday March 18th for first place in the Historical Grenadines Secondary School Track and Field Meet. For the first time in history the Union Island Secondary School participated as part of St. Vincent & the Grenadines in this unprecedented sports meet. ECGC’s Carib Pearl Rice, provided sponsorship for the RCP Network International live broadcast of the event from the Mini Stadium in Lauristan. The meet expected to be witnessed by several Government officials including, SVG Minister of Sports Mr. Fredrick Stephenson; Parliamentary Representative for the Southern Grenadines, Mr. Terrance Ollivierre; the Director of Sports SVG Mr. Nelson Hillocks and his Deputy Mr. Woodrow Williams and Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Sen. George Prime.
The St. Vincent Grammar School emerged as winner of the 2011 ECGC Home Economics Competition for the second consecutive year. Shane Burgin (left) cropped the title with his Ginger Pumpkin Bread and Raisin Bread. He also won “Best Male Entrant” as well as “Best Flour Dish.” Second place went to Daniella Ballantyne (center) of the St. Clair Dacon Secondary School and third place went to Teresa Hazel (right) of the Thomas Saunders Secondary School. Best Rice Dish went to Kanille Brudy of the St. Martin’s Secondary School. Best Specialty Flour item, went to Daniella Ballantyne – St. Clair Dacon Secondary and Kanille Brudy of the St. Martin’s Secondary School. The Awards ceremony was held on March 22nd, at the Peace Memorial Hall.
