Education

The 2006 ECGC Home Economics Food Competition was held in St. Vincent during the months of February and March 2006. Just over 80 participants from various schools across the island, prepared delicious meals.  The Emmanuel Mesopotamia School emerged as champions and walked away with the first prize.  Awards were given to both the school and the individual.

Sports

ECGC, as part of its continued effort to support Sports in the Region has provided sponsorship for various teams. Some examples include the Radcliff Cricket Team of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The team has enjoyed success over the years and has proven that teamwork yields success.

On the island of St. Kitts the Carib Pearl Cayon Pacers, is another net ball team sponsored by ECGC. The team wore the Carib Pearl brand at the March pass leading up to the tournament in St. Kitts in March and went on to win the National Competition in July 2006.

Other Events

In St. Vincent, there are a number of events to look forward to but the one of major interest would be the first ECGC Meat Festival slated for October 27th 2006. During this festival all types of meat would be available for public enjoyment along with rice dishes. The event promises to be unique as it will also include exotic local meats.
